About Dr. Jenn Dobert, PharmD
Hi, I’m Dr. Jenn Dobert, a pharmacist, homeschooling mom, and health science educator with over 20 years of experience helping people understand their health and make safer, more informed decisions.
How This Started
After two decades as a pharmacist, I kept running into the same problem: families weren’t lacking access to health information, they were drowning in it, with no reliable way to sort what mattered from what didn’t.
Parents were making medication and health decisions without the tools to feel confident in them.
Kids were memorizing facts without practicing how to ask a good question or evaluate what they were being told.
At the same time, I was homeschooling my own children and saw a chance to combine the two things I care about most: pharmacy and education. That combination became the foundation for this work.
Supporting busy families with not just what to know, but how to think about it.
What Drives Me
I believe health literacy shouldn’t start in adulthood, after a diagnosis or a medication mix-up forces the issue. It should start young. When kids learn early to ask “why,” evaluate evidence, and feel comfortable asking questions instead of guessing, they carry that confidence into every health decision they’ll make for the rest of their lives…and so will the next generation after them.
That’s the heart of everything I teach: raising kids and equipping families who don’t just know facts, but know how to think clearly, ask well, and decide wisely.
A Little More About Me
Outside of teaching, I’m a wife, a homeschooling mom, and a martial artist — something that’s taught me as much about discipline, patience, and persistence as anything I learned in pharmacy school.
I’m also a Christian, and that shapes how I teach: my goal is never to teach against a Christian worldview, but to present science and health education in a way that families of faith can trust and feel comfortable with.
Whether I’m working with a homeschool co-op, a community organization, or a family navigating medication safety at home, my goal is the same — practical, honest, science-based education that helps people feel confident instead of overwhelmed.
