Welcome

Hi! I’m Dr. Jenn.

I’m a Christian, pharmacist, homeschool mom, educator, and lifelong science enthusiast with a mission:

Helping homeschool students think like scientists, communicate clearly, and become confident in understanding how the human body works.

After nearly 20 years as a pharmacist, I’ve seen firsthand how important health literacy really is. Understanding how our bodies work, how medications should be used safely, and how to evaluate health information isn’t just for healthcare professionals—it’s a life skill every student deserves to develop.

As a homeschooling parent myself, I also know that science can sometimes feel intimidating. My goal is to make it approachable, engaging, and deeply meaningful by connecting scientific concepts to everyday life.

What You’ll Find Here

This website is a place where science, writing, and critical thinking come together.

Here you’ll find resources and articles about:

  • Human body systems
  • Medication safety and health literacy
  • Scientific reasoning and the scientific method
  • CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning)
  • Science writing
  • Homeschool curriculum reviews and recommendations
  • Practical homeschool encouragement
  • Hands-on science ideas

Whether you’re teaching elementary students or preparing a middle schooler for more advanced science, I hope you’ll find practical tools you can use right away.

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe science education should go beyond memorizing facts.

Students should learn to ask thoughtful questions.

To investigate.

To evaluate evidence.

To communicate ideas clearly.

To connect what they’re learning to the real world.

When students understand why something happens—not just what happens—they become confident learners who are prepared for high school, college, and life.

How I Can Help

I currently offer educational services for homeschool families, including:

  • One-on-one science writing coaching
  • Group science enrichment classes
  • Medication safety education
  • Human body systems instruction
  • Science and health workshops for homeschool groups and co-ops
  • Educational resources and curriculum

I’m also developing science resources designed to help students build scientific understanding while strengthening their writing and critical thinking skills.

A Little More About Me

I’m first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ, wife, and homeschooling mom.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me researching curriculum, developing science lessons, baking homemade bread, spending time with my family, or discovering new ways to make science more engaging for kids.

I believe education should cultivate curiosity, wisdom, and a lifelong love of learning.

I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s raise a generation of students who don’t just memorize science—but truly understand it.
